COMMON SITUATIONS

VETERANS

Problem: Many areas are without adequate transportation for medical appointments and other needed issues due to lack of vehicles / drivers, low population areas etc.

Example: Lake Isabella California VFW has an estimated waiting period of over an hour of transport due to sharing service with Ridgecrest California’s VFW to travel into Bakersfield California VA treatment centers for medical, mental or physical or other scheduled service.

Remedy: WHT created alternate transportation service location near in kern county, equipped for wheelchair, disabled equipment and proper training to pickup route and rectify needed service.


Elderly

Problem: Facilities usually house at least 250 residence per facility. Although an investment for facility transportation and drivers being consistent with scheduling, timing and activity inconsistency. 

Example; Tuesdays, Wednesdays scenic routes and tours, drivers off Friday and Saturdays which leads to only 3 day set for medical appointments for over 100 residents in one center, Sundays doesn’t count due to most doctors offices are not open.

Remedy: An alternate service to be called upon to transport the many residents needing appointments or personal transportation 7 days a week.

DISABLED

Problem: at 10:30 am. David has a medical appointment in long beach, staff has transportation but under staffed for any reason, transportation service that’s usually the regular, may be time pressed. https://bva.org/challenges-veterans-face-when-leaving-the-military/Example: David whose wheelchair bound needs a ride to his family’s gathering for the holiday then back home. Unfortunately, the times conflicts with facility he resides and transportation services are either booked of there’s no same day service available to transport David to this event.

Remedy: and alternate service equipped with disabled functioned equipment to transport to any facility or personal family location requested.

BWCS 

Problem: The many transportations need of this community exceeds expectations of good support. But what’s needed in becoming great support is an alternate service to transport passengers to the many facilities and outings to creating a better future for their families. A service that’s paid by companies doing business in their community.

Example: veronica and her kids 2 ambulatory and one wheelchair bound has a court appearance at 9 am, the son that’s wheelchair bound has an appointment at 2 pm, transportation is booked and could only make the 2 pm drop off that leaves her court case and return home unaccounted for.

Remedy: schedule an alternate transportation service to transport veronica and her family to these appointments and return safely without incident.
